This year the kids got to pick what they wanted for breakfast for their birthday. Emma picked homemade doughnuts. Yum.

That evening we went to the mall and got her ears pierced. We talked to her about the pain but she wanted to go through with it...

Until they did the first ear! Getting the second ear done took some holding down. :)
But, five minutes later she was on the carousel with Johnny--laughing and having a good time, so I don't think it was too bad. She was so proud to have big girl earrings.
